Het leven is goed in Frankrijk. Dat kun je zien aan mijn zoon Figo. Wij kregen deze foto toegestuurd. Je kan goed zien dat hij elke dag in zee zwemt, daar krijg je een prachtige body van. Natuurlijk heeft hij van Tysse en mij de goede genen meegekregen, maar daar moet je dan ook nog wat mee doen. Ik ben trots op je mijn zoon.

Life is good in France. You can see that viewing my son Figo. Recently we got this photo from him. You can see he is swimming in the sea every day. With this excercises he has developed a beautiful body. Of course he has got the best genes from Tysse and me, but you always have to work with it. I am very proUd on you my son.
Wij hebben een heerlijke vakantie gehad op natuurcamping Beukenhegge bij Gieten in Drenthe. Een prachtige kampeerplek midden in het bos, goed eten en heel veel wandelen. Wat wil je als hond nog meer?

We had great holidays. We weren at natural campingsite Bekenhegge near Gieten in the province Drenthe, Holland. We were camping on a nice place in the middle of the woods, we had good food and made a lot of long walks. This is the best dogholidays I can imagin.
Het is weer mooi weer en dan krijg ik het altijd vreselijk warm. Geef mij de winter maar met zo'n dikke vacht. Mijn lijf voelt dat goed aan en dan krijg ik een nieuwe vacht. Er wordt dan vreselijk op mij gemopperd omdat het hele huis onder de haren komt te liggen. Nu hebben ze dit apparaat gekocht. Het is heerlijk. Ze kunnen daarmee heel makkelijk de oude vacht eruit kammen en ik ben sneller van die oude vacht af, ideaal. Daarna kreeg ik nog een heerlijke nattenhandenmassage en nu zit mijn vacht weer prachtig in de krul.

It is beautiful weather in Holland and I do have a lot of problems with this. I do prefer wintertime, with low temperatures. That is why I do have such a beautiful coat.My body knows this problem and reacts by moulting. My family is very much disturbed because the find hairs all over the house. Now they bought this thing. It helps miraculously. It helps combing out my old coat very well. I am very glad with it. After that I have got a wet hands massage and now my coat is beautiful curly as before.
Vandaag kregen we hele officixc3xable post van de Raad van Beheer met een positief bericht. Na de rxc3xb6ntgenfoto's 2 weken geleden, nu de uitslag. Als moeder weet ik natuurlijk dat ik prachtig kind heb. Nu hebben de foto's het bevestigd: HD A , Norberg waarde 33 en ED vrij. Ik ben heel blij, want als ouder wil je toch niets liever dan een gezond nageslacht.

Today we have got very oficial mail from the Dutch Kennel Club with positive news. After making the X-ray 2 weeks ago, now the results. As a mother, I know that I have a beautiful child, but now the photos have given an oficial confirmation: HD A , Norberg 33 and ED free. I am very happy. As a parent there is nothing more important then having a healthy posterity.
Zij is samen met haar vriendin naar een lezing geweest over emoties bij honden door Paul de Vos. Het was hxc3xa9xc3xa9xc3xa9xc3xa9xc3xa9l interessant, nu weet ze het: honden hebben ook gevoel. Nou dat had ik haar ook wel kunnen vertellen. Ik vertel haar iedere morgen, dat ik het niet leuk vindt dat ze weg gaat om te werken. En dan gaat ze ook nog regelmatig 's avonds met Jane trainen. Ik probeer haar steeds duidelijk te maken dat ik het veel gezelliger vind, als we gewoon gezellig samen op de bank zitten. Maar nee ze ziet het niet of ze wil het niet zien en dan moet zo'n bioloog haar duidelijk maken dat wij emoties hebben. Ze moet gewoon beter naar mij kijken.

She has been to a lecture about emotions in dogslife by Paul de Vos. It was very interesting she said, now she knows: dogs also have emotions. I could have told her that. It would be better if she looked more to me. I try to tell her all the time that I prefer her to stay at home in stead of working or training with Jane. No she listens to a biologist to realise that dogs have emotions. It is very simple, she just has to observe my signals more.
Gisteren was de jaarvergadering van de Curly Coated Retriever Club Nederland. Daar wordt over belangrijke zaken, die ons ras aangaan gesproken. Tot mijn grote verbazing mochten Jane en ik er niet bij zijn. Wij moesten in de auto wachten. Terwijl er toch over ons wel en wee gesproken werd. Het is een schande. Die menselijke soort begrijpt niet wat democratie is. Ze hebben een grote mond over dictatoriale regimes in het buitenland, maar in de eigen omgeving??? Ik ben maar de hond en ik moet "braaf" zijn. Ze begrijpen niet dat wij een hele goede inbreng kunnen hebben. Gelukkig werd er daarna gewandeld en heb ik mijn verloofde Tysse en mijn dochter Suze gezien, dat was wel weer heel gezellig.

Yesterday there was a meeting of the Dutch Curly club. There they talk about all the important things of our breed. I was very much surprised that Jane and me had to stay in the car. They talk about us without giving us the possibility to give our opinion. It is sometimes very strange with the human kind. They talk about democracy. Have a lot of criticisme about dictatorial regimes abroad, but in their situation??? I am just the dog and I have to obey. It is a shame. They don't aprciate our good ideas about the life of a dog.
After the meeting we went for a walk. It was very nice to see my fiancee Tysse again and my daughter Suze. You can see the photos by clicking on the link above.
Helaas mocht ik niet mee naar de Crufts. Met mijn grijze snuit valt er geen prijs meer te behalen. Misschien bij de veteranen, maar daar ben ik nog niet oud genoeg voor.
Gelukkig was er wel een prima nederlandse vertegenwoordiger: Myosotisis Jacomo Paradox Blue
Alleen had hij geen zin om mooi show te lopen, maar wilde lekker huppelen met zijn baas, daar win je geen prijzen mee. Zie de volgende video

It is a pity she did not take me to the Crufts. With my graying muzzle I cannot win prices anymore, maybe with the veterans, but I am still too young for that. I should like it very much to see all these famous dogs there. There was a good Dutch representative Myosotisis Jacomo Paradox Blue. He is beautiful, only he prefered playing with his handler in stead of showing himself to the judge and the public. See the video
Na weken van sneeuw en vorst vinden wij het heerlijk dat het grijs en regenachtig is. De wegen zijn weer goed begaanbaar zodat we weer met de auto weg kunnen. Dan gaan we weer allerlei leuke uitstapjes maken zoals gisteren naar het bos. Ik heb heerlijk met Jane kunnen rennen. Ik moet wel oppassen anders is ze me te vlot af, want ze is snel en slim.

After weeks with snow and frost we like it very much that it is gray and wet. The roads are ok, so we can drive safely with the car. Now we are going to make all kinds of nice trips again. Yesterday we went into the woods. I was able to run and play a lot with Jane. I have to be very much alert on her, because she is very fast and clever.
